Alan Dixon I worked in a coal mine for a number of years directly after leaving school but later returned to education earning a place at Sunderland University, England, where I studied Fine Art under the guidance of respected artist Geoff Morton. After leaving Sunderland University in 1995 I continued my education at Newcastle College where I studied Photography, earning several Distinctions in the process, leaving Newcastle College in 1997 I then returned to Sunderland University and studied Electronic Media Design which I feel was a melting pot for My skills in Fine Art and Photography. I believes that in Fine Art you are constantly learning, trying to expand, refining and pushing at the same time. On the subject of My work I try not to limit my work by becoming bogged down in one medium, also being open about subject matter keeps my work fresh and vibrant.
